The nuance of the downtown Los Angeles area is that it’s become known as a new up-and-coming spot with advances in fashion and technology.

Right off of the 101 freeway near Little Tokyo, the local area is becoming revitalized with are cool, hip businesses popping up along with reasonable living costs. The city has the infrastructure in order to result profitably for different companies. L.A., known for its innovative nature, is responsible for start-ups as well as medium-sized businesses in the fashion industry.

With 78 tech-oriented firms, referenced by the Los Angeles times, L.A.’s technology has progressed further and more conveniently for entrepreneurs and businesses. With digital media, apps, and smartphones, L.A.’s tech-savvy environment allows its business to thrive in a parallel manner.

Downtown L.A., as sort of a centerpiece of the city, makes it easier for people who live in outer areas to come to work. Some companies that are set to start-up in L.A. starting 2015 include The Bouqs Company (floral e-company), Workpop (job outsourcing company), Asset Avenue (real estate e-company), DAQRI (augmented reality co.), Gem (app-builder), Nativo (publication/brand advertising), and RadPad (renting mobile-app). These are a handful of the technological brands that are set to prosper in the city this year.

Technology brings fashion profits to Downtown L.A.

As the fashion district is located in downtown as well, the technological advances also affect the fashion community. Online retailer Nasty Gal used downtown L.A.’s popular feel and tech-savvy environment in order to satisfy consumers as well as meet its company needs. Daily Look, a fashion styling website, also used the power of the internet in order to run a successful, profitable business. Style Saint, a luxury brand start-up, also saw the opportunity of L.A.'s tech community and used it in order to market their high-brow line.

TechSparks, which is an organization that provides a safe space for entrepreneurs to learn and share forums, launched a couple events in downtown last year. The series brings together technologists and small business orders in order to revitalize downtown L.A.’s economy. Due to the efficiency in technological projects, L.A.’s manufacturers are able to cut costs of materials and products, resulting in a more successful fashion economy.
