Cali brands Aether and Salt launch new collaboration

Aether, performance luxury brand, collaborated with Salt, premium eyewear label, in order to create a new collection.

The two combined forces in order to create a limited-edition line of eyewear. The collaboration of Aether and Salt is Aether’s first time venturing into manufacturing sunglasses. The collection launched on June 8 featuring two distinct styles. The styles are named Scout and Explorer to reflect the style and utility of the sunglasses. The Scout follows a classic, teardrop design with perforated side shields. The Explorer reflects a more traditional aviator look.

Both versions of the glasses use lightweight frames that are made from beta-titanium. The two styles are ideal for motorcycle wearers and are optimally designed for performance. Both Explorer and Scout are available in brown tortoise, black tortoise, white, and black. The collection is priced at 600 dollars. Starting June 8, the collection will be available online at both brands and in-retail Aether stores.

Aether, Los Angeles-based brand, is known for creating modern, technical gear that emphasizes utilitarian aspects. The brand currently has factories and manufacturers widespread globally. The performance brand was founded in 2009 by Jonah Smith and Palmer West. Currently, Aether operates three stores in Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.

Salt, founded in 2006, has built a foundation with retailers in North America, Asia, New Zealand, and Australia. The California-based eyewear is known for its premium products that reflect a SoCal lifestyle.
