Los Angeles - Parker Smith is added a new line to its Los Angeles-based denim brand. Appealing to an entire new audience, label Parker Smith has announced it will add a plus-size line this year.

Ever since founder Mary Ellen Moschetti launched Parker Smith two years ago, her denim label had become successful in Los Angeles. Recently, her stockists starting asking for larger sizes, which prompted the chief executive officer, Moschetti, to create the new line. The plus-size line was a natural fit for Moschetti and her brand. “I come from a family of women who wear and have worn a size 14 and above, so I know the challenges they encounter when trying to buy a great fitting pair of jeans,” Moschetti told WWD.

The new capsule collection includes two varying styles. The first style is a high-rise skinny fit jean offered in both black and blue washes. The second style is also a high-rise, with a straight-leg jean fit. The second fit is also available in both black and blue washes. Both range in price from 160 to 187 dollars in sizes 14, 16, and 18. The launch is currently available now at the brand’s online e-commerce site: www.parkersmith.com. In the future, as reported by WWD, Moschetti hopes to come up with more fits, styles, and washes.
