Delphine Arnault, daughter of LVMH Chairman and Chief

Executive Bernard Arnault, is moving from Dior to join Louis Vuitton as Deputy General Manager.

Arnault, who has held the same position at Dior since 2008, is expected to take over the position in early September. In the role, she will oversee all product-related activities concerning the Louis Vuitton house, and will report directly to Chief Executive Michael Burke, who joined the brand last December.

Burke said in a statement that Arnault's "intimate knowledge of the universe of our high-quality products and her experience at the helm of one of the most prestigious Houses in the Group are key assets to contribute to the successful development of Louis Vuitton in the world."

Delphine Arnault has been on the board of directors of LVMH since 2003, and worked at John Galliano for a year before moving over to Dior as Commercial Director in 2001. She has also served as director for a number of other LVMH brands including Emilio Pucci, Loewe and Céline.
