French fashion house Givenchy will not show at Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris

for a second season, due to designer Riccardo Tisci’s “frantic schedule”.

A spokesman for the brand confirmed to WWD that even though Tisci has decided to sit the haute couture Autumn/Winter 2013 season due to his busy schedule, that the brand would still “continue its couture activity and that it continues to enlarge its atelier".

The brand’s creative director has been very busy of late, Tisci was honoured at the CFDA Awards in New York, he was co-chair of the Met Ball, and he has also created stage costumes for singers Rihanna and Beyonce, as well as designing ballet costumes for the Opéra Garnier in Paris.

Givenchy first announced it was taking a break from the couture schedule in December 2012, to allow the fashion house to concentrate on its ready-to-wear line.

The Autumn/Winter haute couture shows are set to take place from July 1 to July 4 in Paris.
