Italian fashion house Prada is launching a 24-hour museum tonight in Paris.

Based in the Palais D’Iéna, the museum has been designed by Milan-based artist and satirist Francesco Vezzoli with Rem Koolhaas' think tank AMO, and will be open for just one day.

The museum will be split into three sections, each inspired by a particular type of museum space: historic, contemporary and forgotten. Vezzoli has creating and curated a ‘non-existent museum’ centring on his tribute to femininity, which is showcased through interpretations of classical sculptures that make reference to contemporary divas.

The 24-hour museum opens tonight at 8.30pm with an invitation-only dinner before the space is turned a nightclub, which will be viewable on online at www.24hoursmuseum.com. Then tomorrow the museum will be open to the public, host school tours and when will close at 8.30pm when the 24-hour period comes to an end.
